Roselle UMC is committed to this ministry and volunteers time
on a monthly basis.
Roselle UMC hosted PADS again at St. Isidore's Church on
Monday, August 4. Although it was a stormy night
outside, our guests felt welcome inside with a wonderful
pasta dinner. Our new volunteers from St. Columba's
Church in Hanover Park held us with the food preparation, as
well as setting up the dinner and serving it.
Altogether, we had 72 volunteers who helped to make this
night possible for the 68 men, women, and children who
needed the shelter that night
"Thank you" to some of our new volunteers this month: Sue
Bundy, doing laundry, Ben Archer, Grace Archer,
and Isannah Challinor, who helped set up and serve,
Phyllis Kim, who also worked this evening shift,
Gina Richard, who helped clean in the morning, Gail
Tabor, who also worked in the morning and drove leftover
donuts to the day site in Wheaton, and Jim Ricker,
who worked the midnight shift (11 pm - 2 am)
We
still need plenty of help, so please volunteer if you have a
few hours to spare. We especially need morning help
from 5-7 am.

the homeless and poor in your prayers and with our gifts.
