2009 - "Birthday in a Box"
To help ensure that every child is able to truly celebrate their
birthday, Hanover Township gives needy children a box of
everything they need for a fun day — from party supplies to a
cake and even an age- and gender-appropriate gift!
You can help by donating any of these new, unopened items:
-
Party hats, noisemakers, and more!
-
Party paper goods (plates, cups, etc.)
-
Boxed cake mix
-
Box of birthday candles
-
Balloons, streamers, etc.
-
ONE gift for a boy or a girl, wrapped.
Our Kid’s Club will group items into boxes for a boy or girl and
by age. Monetary donations will be used to make sure boxes are
full and festive!

Heifer
International
Since 1944, this organization has assisted 7
million impoverished families worldwide by providing the gift of
self-reliance. Heifer works with livestock and agriculture to
develop programs to alleviate hunger and poverty. Funds were
raised to provide a Milk Menagerie,
which includes milk producing animals of a heifer, a water buffalo,
and two goats and a Knitting Basket, which includes wool
producing animals of two llamas and two sheep.
Dear
Roselle UMC Friends,
On behalf of the Chicago office of Heifer International, I
want to extend our gratitude for your generous gift of a
Milk Menagerie and Knitting Basket. Your donation will
bring nourishment and warmth to so many. Also, many
thanks for supporting us since 1989.
Please keep in touch!
Warmest Regards,
Ann
