  Sunday Mornings

8:30 a.m.     "Feasting on the Word"             Location:  Church Library  (see map)

Each Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. join us upstairs in the Library for “Feasting on the Word: Bible Study and Light Breakfast.”  Engaging participants in a deeper exploration of Biblical texts, this group will study passages from Scripture and focus discussion on questions such as “What is important to know about this passage?”  “Where is God in these words?” “So what does this mean for our lives?” and “What are we, individually and as the church, called to be or do?” A light breakfast will be offered each week so participants can “feast” both physically and spiritually.

9:30 a.m.    "So What?"                    Location:  Downstairs, Room 15  (see map)

On Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. join us downstairs in Room 15 for a “So What?” discussion group. Meeting each week for coffee and conversation, this group explores topics raised in the Scripture and sermon for the week. Whether you attended the 8:30 a.m. Morning Praise Service or are preparing for the 10:30 a.m. Morning Grace service, this informal discussion group provides an opportunity to connect, build and develop relationships, raise questions, and explore the relevance of scripture and sermon to our lives in the 21st century.

   During the Week

Monday Morning Bible Study

All are invited to join us upstairs in the church Library (see map) Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for in-depth discussions on the Bible, our United Methodist heritage and living in Christ.  New members are always welcome!

See calendar for exact meeting dates and our current discussion.

Contact:   Gayle Richard at (630) 529-1309 or gayle@roselleumc.org for more information.

Book Study BLOG

Join us any time as we explore a new way to engage in a small group study -- in the comfort of your own home, on your own time schedule!  Each week a team of study leaders launch a conversation with their thoughts and reflections on readings from a book on Christian living (see What's So Amazing About Grace? for a recent example).  Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation -- or even renew a discussion from long ago!  No registration is needed.

“Becoming Disciples through Bible Study”

Formerly known as "Disciple I," this 34-week study takes participants on an intensive journey through both the Old and New Testaments, providing a theological and historical overview of Scripture and encouraging discussion, discovery and person growth.  This Bible study is designed to help participants become better disciples of Christ, aiming at transformation -- not just information.

Our current Disciple Bible Study Class is being led by Pastor Chris and Gayle Richard through November 2011 and meets upstairs in the church library (see map) on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m.  See calendar for meeting dates and times.

Please contact Gayle Richard at (630) 529-1309 or gayle@roselleumc.org if you are interested in participating in an upcoming Disciple Bible Study Class.

Book Discussion Group

New readers are always welcome to join our Book Discussion Group, which meets at 7:30 a.m. on the second Monday of each month, downstairs in Room 15 (see map).

See calendar for exact meeting dates and our current book.
